Camilo Villegas birdied the first two holes on Day Three at the Dubai World Championship to top the leaderboard on nine-under. Colombian Villegas started the day trailing behind Lee Westwood and Ross McGowan but after getting off to the perfect start on the 454-yard par 4 first and carding another birdie on the front nine's longest hole – the 583-yard second – he positioned himself at the top of the leaderboard. Alexander Noren shot up to second after scoring an eagle on the par-5 seventh before following it up with a birdie on the next hole.

Prime Minister Manmohan Singh on Friday asked his ministers to submit their performance reports to him, TV reports said on Saturday. The PM's message was conveyed in a letter written by cabinet secretary K M Chandrashekhar. The letter states that each of the ministries will have to submit a performance report for the PM's personal monitoring.

The exhumation of Teoh Beng Hock's body for a second autopsy, ordered by the inquest into his recent death, has been completed. The exhumation comes following the testimony of Thai pathologist Dr Pornthip Rojanasunand that the death of the political aide was very likely a homicide. A team of over ten police forensic experts had earlier cordoned off the grave area with the aid of several cemetery workers, who are helping with the exhumation.

Pakistan has announced it would not change its priorities under any external pressure and warned 'India or anyone else' not to remain in illusions. According to leading daily The Nation , Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi said in Multan on Friday: "We are not ready to come into any one's pressure. A woman in her 20s, believed to be from either the Middle East or Eastern Europe, fell to her death from a high-end condominium in Jalan Bukit Gambir here. The woman was found lying on the ground some seven metres away from the 23-storey building in a pool of blood during the 8.30pm incident on Friday. It is learnt that the woman was earlier spotted entering the condominium with a unit owner.
